ONTARIO, Ore. - The 23rd-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team beat Treasure Valley CC 15-6 and 10-1 in a non-conference midweek doubleheader Tuesday and
Adi Hansen recorded six stolen bases to take her season total to 49, the new CSI single-season record.
Hansen, who ranks third in the country in stolen bases, stole two bases in her first plate appearance to etch her name in the record books, beating the previous record of 44.
The Golden Eagles pounded out seven home runs on the day and had 11 stolen bases.
In game one,
Adi Hansen was 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and
Camryn Guest was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.
Anslie Yazzie and
Shyann Banasky each had home runs and
Lexi Crowley had two home runs and four RBI.
Jenna Ambrose was 1-for-2.
Ella Farrell got the win, pitching 3.1 innings with four strikeouts.
Sophia Bristow earned the save, pitching 1.2 innings and giving up no runs and no hits with four strikeouts.
Game two was more of the same for Hansen who was 2-for-4 with two RBI and two stolen bases.
Rilyne Keck was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Both
Lily Heitz and
Ava Howell hit home runs. Ambrose was 2-for-3 with a double and Romero was 1-for-2 with two RBI and two stolen bases.
Sophie Bliss was 1-for-3 with a double.
Adi Brooks earned the win in the circle, pitching all six innings and giving up one run on six hits with three strikeouts.
CSI, 30-11 overall, has a bye this weekend before traveling to USU Eastern next week.
