SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Softball Team lost to Salt Lake 7-6 in 10 innings before beating the Bruins 9-6 Friday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles fell behind 5-0 in game one before coming all the way back to send the game into extra innings before falling in the bottom of the 10th inning.
Camryn Guest was 2-for-4 with two walks,
Alyce Archuleta was 2-for-4 with a double and two walks and
Kyli Carrell was 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI.
Ella Farrell took the loss, pitching the final eight innings and giving up just one earned run on five hits with eight strikeouts.
CSI jumped out to an 7-0 lead in game two and coasted.
Adi Hansen was 2-for-4 with an RBI and
Rilyne Keck was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Archuleta and
Maile Ha'o each finished with a long ball. Archuleta was 2-for-4 with three RBI and Ha'o was 2-for-4.
Adi Brooks got the win, pitching 2.2 innings and giving up two earned runs on five hits.
Sophia Bristow got the save, pitching the final 1.2 innings and giving up no runs on two hits.
CSI takes on Salt Lake for another doubleheader Saturday.
