TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team made easy work of Utah State Club Wednesday, beating the Aggies 13-3 and 16-5.
The Golden Eagles scored 13 in the first game off just seven hits but took advantage of six walks and three errors.
Cade Burnham was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI and
Stockton Fowlks was 2-for-3.
Cooper Scott also had a two-rbi double, going 1-for-1.
Blake Carter got the win on the mound, going one inning and giving up no runs on no hits with two strikeouts.
Will Grizzle,
Lincoln Mathis and
Kolby Landon each threw a score inning as well.
Game two was more of the same with CSI getting eight hits and benefiting from 10 walks and four USU errors.
Burnham was 2-for-3 again with a double and two RBI.
Trey Purser went 1-for-3 with a home run and four RBI, while
Sawyer Slade was 1-for-3 with three RBI. Scott stayed hot, going 2-for-3 with a double.
Caymen Kap got the win, pitching one inning and giving up no runs on no hits with two strikeouts.
Dewy Gibb and
Jackson Gardner each threw a score inning, giving up no hits.
CSI, 20-5 overall, hosts Treasure Valley next week.
