Golden Eagle Baseball takes two from Treasure Valley

TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team won its 19th and 20th straight games Friday, sweeping Treasure Valley 6-5 and 15-6 in non-conference action.
The Golden Eagles needed a walk-off in the first game to secure the win.
Trailing 5-3 in the bottom of the seventh, CSI had two on after Noah Gatti and Cooper Scott singles. But also had two outs. The Golden Eagles scored one run on what would have been the third out but was an error on TVCC's third baseman. Stockton Fowlks then singled to left field to tie it up but the ball got away from the left fielder to bring in the winning run from second base.
Fowlks was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Gatti was 2-for-3 and Mack Evans was 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. Kaleb Doty got the win on the mound, pitching the final 1.2 innings and giving up one earned run on three hits with two strikeouts.
Game two was was tied at six apiece going into the bottom of the fourth before the Golden Eagles got hot, scoring two in the fourth, two in the fifth and five in the sixth to pull off the run-rule win.
Ryder Cutlip and Trey Purser were each 3-for-4. Purser had a home run and four RBI. Crew Secrist was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI and Evans had another home run. Caden Fenger got the win, pitching three innings and giving up no runs on one hit with four strikeouts.
CSI, 22-5 overall, hosts Treasure Valley for two more on Saturday.
