TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho took care of business Thursday, run ruling USU Eastern 11-1 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
With the win, CSI Head Coach
Boomer Walker notched his 700th career win, taking his overall record to 700-490.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first two innings and coasted from there.
Both
Mack Evans and
Stetson Critchley finished the game 2-for-3 with a home run.
Cade Burnham was 3-for-4 and
Ryder Cutlip was 2-for-2 with three runs scored.
Trey Purser was 2-for-3 and
Tyson Staheli had a pinch-hit single.
Grayson Riding was dominant on the mound, going all five innings and giving up one earned run on three hits with four strikeouts.
CSI, 25-5 overall and 1-0 in conference play, hosts USU Eastern for a doubleheader Friday at 1 p.m.
