DOUGLAS, Ariz. - The third-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team led for the first time in overtime and finished with a 102-96 win over Cochise College Saturday in the District Championship.
The Golden Eagles trailed by 15 points at the half and slowly climbed back into the game, tying the game with 23 seconds left in the game on a 3-pointer by
Jalen Lyn and then CSI had a huge defensive stop to send the game into overtime.
CSI scored first in overtime on a shot by Lyn and never trailed again.
Lyn finished the game with 31 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals.
Ace Reiser had 20 points, six rebounds and seven assists and
Ben Thornbrue had 21 points, 14 rebounds and three assists.
Nathan Ahner finished with 13 points, six rebounds an four assists and
Cooper Kesler had eight points, three rebounds and five assists.
The Golden Eagles, 31-2 overall, will find out Monday during the NJCAA National Tournament selection show at 4 p.m. what seed they will be in Hutchinson, Kan.
