COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - The fourth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team came back from an 11-point deficit in the second half to beat North Idaho College 81-77 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles forged their comeback behind the scoring of
Ace Reiser who finished the game with 26 points along with three rebounds and two assists.Â
Also scoring in double figures was
Jalen Lyn with 14 points and
Ben Thornbrue with 10.
Clinging to a one-point lead with 16 seconds to play, Reiser knocked down two free throws and then Thornbure made two to extend the lead to 79-74 with 10 seconds to play. North Idaho would hit a 3-pointer and CSI's Thornbrue would make two more free throws for the final tally.Â
Guygustone led CSI on the boards, finishing with seven and adding six points.
Charlie Dimmock had nine points and three rebounds and
Cooper Kesler and
Nathan Ahner each had eight points. Ahner added five rebounds and had a team-high five assists and four steals.
CSI, 26-2 overall and 12-1 in conference play, host USU Eastern Thursday and #1 Snow College Saturday to finish out the regular season.
