TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho beat Big Bend CC 3-1 and 11-1 Friday in a non-conference doubleheader.
Golden Eagle pitchers dominated the day.
Grayson Riding won game one, pitching all seven innings and giving up one earned run on one hit with six strikeouts.
Degan Rigby claimed game two, pitching four innings and giving up one earned run on two hits with six strikeouts.
Logan Mabey closed out the game, pitching the final inning and giving up no runs on one hit with one strikeout.
CSI scored just enough in the first game for the win.
Trey Purser had a two-run home run and
Cooper Scott was 1-for-3 with a home run. The other Golden Eagle hits were
Stockton Fowlks,
Mack Evans,
Stetson Critchley and
Cade Burnham.
Game two was all CSI. Three Golden eagles went 2-for-2 in the run rule.
Ryder Cutlip,
Noah Gatti and Scott were all perfect. Both Cutlip and Scott had a double. and Scott had three RBI.
The Golden Eagles, 11-5 overall, host Big Bend for another doubleheader Saturday at noon.
