TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 11th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team beat #1 Snow College 84-76 to remain undefeated in Scenic West Athletic Conference play and hand Snow its first loss of the season.
The Golden Eagles trailed the Badgers 38-35 at the half but out-shot Snow 54 percent to 40 percent in the second half to pull ahead. Despite being undersized inside, CSI finished the game with 11 blocks, while Snow had none.
A team effort, the Golden Eagles had four players score in double figures, led by
Ace Reiser's 24 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 from long range. The point guard also had three rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Off the bench
Cooper Kesler sparked the Golden Eagles, scoring 20 points and pulling down six rebounds. In one of his best all-around games this season,
Ben Thornbrue finished with 17 points, four rebounds, two assists, three steals and four blocks. Getting his first start of the season,
Kyah Farris-White had three points, two rebounds, two assists and four blocks inside.
Jalen Lyn finished with 10 points and four rebounds and
Nathan Ahner had eight points, seven rebounds and three assists.
With the win, the Golden Eagles move into sole possession of first place in the conference at 4-0. CSI, 18-1 overall, hosts USU Eastern Saturday.
