TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association All West Region Selections have been announced and Alyce Archuleta and Abbie Banning were each selected to the second team.
The West Region awardees includes players from schools in Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Kansas and Idaho, most coming from McLennan CC with a eight athletes selected. 
Archuleta earned all-west honors at DP. The freshman hit .311 at the plate with eight doubles, 10 home runs and 51 RBI. 
In the third-base position Banning was selected. The sophomore hit .346 at the plate with 11 doubles, two triples, 10 home runs and 38 RBI. She had a .452 on-base percentage.
The Golden Eagles finished the season with a 40-16 overall record, winning the Scenic West Athletic Conference Title and the Region 18 Title and competed in their fourth straight NJCAA National Tournament.
