COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho lost to North Idaho 5-4 before taking game two 8-4 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles were tied in the seventh of game one before the Cardinals walked it off in the bottom half of the inning.
Anslie Yazzie was 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBI,
Courtney Christiansen was 1-for-2 with a home run and one RBI and
Abbie Banning was 1-for-3.
Eva Stoddard took the loss, pitching 6.1 innings and giving up four earned runs on six hits with six strikeouts.
Game two was all CSI until the seventh inning. The Golden Eagles led 8-0 going into the bottom half of the seventh when North Idaho strung some hits together, pulling within four. But
Marissa Mauger came in with one on and one out to shut the door. The freshman turned the double play on a comeback to secure the win.
Lily Heitz was 1-for-3 with an RBI,
Kyli Carrell was 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI, Yazzie was 1-for-3 with an RBI and
Ava Howell had a two RBI home run.
Ella Farrell got the win in the circle, pitching 6.1 innings and giving up four earned runs on seven hits with three strikeouts.
CSI, 22-13 overall and 15-3 in conference play, take on North Idaho again Sunday with an 11 a.m. PT start.Â
