TWIN FALLS, Idaho - College of Southern Idaho Softball Head Coach
Nick Baumert earned his 800th win Tuesday, beating Treasure Valley 10-0 and 4-0 in a non-conference doubleheader.
With those two wins, Baumert improved to 801-334-2 overall in his 19th season as the Golden Eagles head coach.
CSI's pitchers made the victories easy, giving up just 4 four hits on the day and no runs.
Emerson Fuller earned the game one win, pitching two innings and giving up no runs on one hit with three strikeouts.
Eva Stoddard pitch two innings of no-hit ball with two strikeouts and
Kyli Carrell pitched the final inning, giving up no runs on two hits with two strikeouts.
In game two,
Marissa Mauger earned the win, giving up no runs on no hits with one strikeout.
Ella Farrell also gave up no runs on no hits with three strikeouts. Carrell again pitched the final innings, giving up no runs on one hit for the save.
The bats were hot in game one.
Adi Hansen,
Anslie Yazzie and Carrell were all 2-for-3.
Rilyne Keck was 2-for-2 and
Courtney Christiansen was 1-for-1 with a walk.
Carrell, Keck and
Lily Heitz all had home runs.Â
In the second game, the Golden Eagles rallied in the fifth inning highlighted by a Yazzie home run. Hansen and
Caroline Simpson were each 2-for-3.
CSI, 33-14 overall and 24-4 in conference play have its bye weekend coming up before hosting USU Eastern May 1-2.
