SPOKANE, Wash. - The College of Southern Idaho added an impromptu meet to its spring season and it paid off as the Golden Eagles added five more qualifiers for the NJCAA Division 1 Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.
CSI competed at the Whitworth Twilight Meet in Spokane. In addition to the five qualifiers there, the Golden Eagles added four more through altitude conversions from their Weber State Meet.
For the women, Lily Neff and
Sage Lyon each qualified in Spokane in the 10,000 Meters. Neff ran a time of 37:15, while Lyon posted a time of 39:17. In the 800 Meters,
Isabella Beilke finished in 2:17 to qualify in the 800 Meters. The women's team also gained four qualifiers from altitude conversions -
Kennedy Kunz (4:48), Lyon (4:48) and
Aubrie Barzee (4:52) and Neff (4:53) in the 1500 Meters.
On the men's side, Kaleb Burnett qualified in the 1500 Meters at Whitworth in a time of 3:58 and
Raivio Manzer qualified in the 5,000 Meters in a time of 14:59.
The Golden Eagles next travel to Logan, Utah, for the Aggie Invitational Friday and Saturday.
