TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team fell to Clark College 5-4 before bouncing back for the 3-1 win in game two Friday at Skip Walker Field.
The highlight of the day was the pitching performance of Braxton Yates in game two.
The freshman pitched all nine innings, giving up just one earned run on two hits with 14 strikeouts and only two walks for the win.
Offensively in that game, Kolton Hicks was 2-for-3 with a double, Jack Barker finished with a triple and Cole Decastro was 1-for-3. Jack Ryan had two RBI.
In the opening game, the Golden Eagles got a majority of their offense from Barker and Crew Secrist. Barker was 3-for-4 with a triple, home run and two RBI and Secrist was 4-for-4 with a double.
On the mound, Caden Fenger earned the loss, pitching the final 2.1 innings and giving up two earned runs on four hits with two strikeouts. Shay Benson started the game, pitching 4.2 innings and giving up three earned runs on eight hits with four strikeouts.
CSI, 15-9 overall, hosts Clark College again Saturday at noon for a doubleheader.
