TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team beat Prairie Baseball Academy 13-5 Saturday in game on of the doubleheader before falling 6-2 in the late game.
The Golden Eagles scored nine runs in the third inning after trailing 5-0 to start the game and then the CSI pitchers shut Prairie down the rest of the way.
Jack Barker was 3-for-4 with three RBI and
Kason O'Neil was 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Crew Secrist was 1-for-3 with a double and three RBI and
Calvin Morrow was 1-for-1 with an RBI.
Bryce Intagliata earned the win on the mound, pitching 4.2 innings and giving up three earned runs on six hits with seven strikeouts and
Peyton Hines pitched the final 2.1 innings, giving up no runs on not hits with four strikeouts.
In game two, the Golden Eagles put a run on the board in the first and second inning for the short lived 2-0 lead. Prairie answered with the next six runs for the win.
Barker was 2-for-4 and
Cole DeCastro and
Mack Evans were each 1-for-3 at the plate.
Mason Hartle earned the loss, pitching five innings and giving up four earned runs on six hits with six strikeouts. Both
Logan Mabey and
Hayden Hudman pitched one inning and both gave up one run.
CSI, 21-10 overall, finishes up its series with Prairie Sunday at 11 a.m. for a single game.
