COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - The 20th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team had no answer for North Idaho's hot shooting Saturday, falling to the Cardinals 108-81.
North Idaho shot 61 percent from the field and almost 50 percent from long range, while CSI was 42 percent from the field and 28 percent from the 3-point line.
The Golden Eagles were also shorthanded inside, missing big men
Isaac Hawkins,
Brandon Oloumou and
Walker Timme for the game.
Jalen Lyn led CSI with 21 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Tanner Hayhurst had a team-high nine rebounds to go with his 14 points. Sam Lupumba was solid inside with 10 points and five rebounds, while
Dale Griffin had eight points, three rebounds and two assists.
Gerry Guerrero added 12 points.
CSI, 19-6 overall 7-3 in conference play, hosts Salt Lake on Wednesday and Colorado Northwestern on Saturday.
