TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho couldn't hold off Salt Lake's second half rally, falling to the Bruins 87-79 Wednesday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles led 44-34 at the half but the Bruins outscored CSI 53-35 to close out the game. CSI shot 49 percent from the field in the first half and only 33 percent in the second half, while Salt Lake shot 34 percent in the first half and 58 percent in the second half.Â
Isaac Hawkins had a big game in his first back from an injury, posting a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Tanner Hayhurst scored 21 points and
Khayri Dunn added 15. Getting his first start of the season,
Samuel Lupumba had six points and 10 rebounds.
CSI, 19-7 overall and 7-4 in conference play, hosts Colorado Northwestern Saturday.
