TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team beat Cochise College for the second time this year, beating the Apaches 74-51 Friday on the second night of the Battle for the Boot Tournament.
The Golden Eagles played Cochise a week ago in Arizona.
This time, CSI jumped out to a 36 points lead heading into the fourth quarter and coasted to the easy victory.
Only one Golden Eagle scored in double figures.
Samara Morrow led CSI with 14 points along with three rebounds and two assists. Both
Lea Nadolny and
Eva Birkeland had eight points and four players finished with six.
No CSI player had more than four rebounds and no player had more than 20 minutes of playing time in the team win. CSI forced 28 turnovers and scored 35 points off those turnovers.
The Golden Eagles, 7-0 overall, will take on ninth-ranked Shelton State, 5-1 overall, in a winner take all championship Saturday at 7 p.m. The Buccaneers beat Monroe College 71-41 in the early game Friday.Â
