TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The eighth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team defeated 19th-ranked Salt Lake CC 61-58 Wednesday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles trailed by eight in the third quarter but used a tenacious defense to fight all the way back, outscoring the Bruins 22-17 in the fourth quarter.
Samara Morrow led CSI with 15 points along with three rebounds and five assists.
Alina Sapilak added 14 points, three rebounds and four steals.
Kennedy Gillette had 10 points.Â
The Golden Eagles had big minutes from post
Falon Bedke who had six points and seven rebounds,
Kayla Porray who finished with six points, four rebounds and three steals and
Macie Brown posted three points, six rebounds and two assists.
CSI, 14-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play, host Colorado Northwestern Saturday.
