TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 16th-ranked CSI Men's Basketball team remained undefeated in conference play as they knocked off USU-Eastern 77-57, Thursday night in Price, Utah.
The two teams traded blows early in the first half, before Southern Idaho settled in about halfway through the first half and was able to pull away for a 14 point halftime advantage. The Golden Eagles were effective on the defensive end the whole night as they were able to turnover the Eagles 14 times, and held them to 42% shooting on just 50 total attempts. Southern Idaho was paced by
Amarco Doyle, who poured in 24 points and added seven rebounds.
Walker Timme finished in double figures as well with 15 points and six rebounds.
Dale Griffin led the way in bench scoring as he added nine points and three rebounds. The Golden Eagles were an outstanding 12-14 from the free throw line, led by
Khayri Dunn, who was 6-6, on his way to 13 points. Southern Idaho now shifts their focus to the second game of the road trip, as they will take on the top team in the country, Snow College, in Ephraim Saturday afternoon.
