CSI Volleyball gets the split against top 10 teams

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho lost to third-ranked New Mexico Military Institute  25-23, 25-21, 25-15 Friday before bouncing back for the 25-23, 19-25, 28-26, 25-20 win over ninth-ranked Trinity Valley in the Ufirst Intermountain Invitational.
In the opening match, Dorina Bogar led the Golden Eagles with nine kills. Mina Benucci finished with five kills and Jada Thomas-Swinson had five kills and four blocks. Jenna Riley had a team-high 29 assists. She also had 11 digs and blocks. Nicole Butt finished with four blocks and Hazuna Ashikige had 12 digs.
Bogar stayed hot in the second match. The sophomore had 15 kills and 19 digs. Thomas-Swinson finished with 11 kills and seven blocks.
Riley was solid again with five kills, six digs, five blocks and 47 assists. Kelsy Stanger posted 14 kills. 
CSI, 5-9 overall, takes on eighth-ranked Weatherford College at 9 a.m. Saturday.
