HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team led top seeded Southern Nevada early and headed into the bottom of the sixth tied but the Coyotes scored two more in the bottom of the sixth to beat CSI 5-3 Thursday in the Region 18 Tournament.
The Golden Eagles gave up only three earned runs in the game.
Shay Benson pitched 4.2 innings, giving up two earned runs on four hits with five strikeouts.
Cooper Littledike pitched 2.1 innings and gave up only one earned run on two hits and
Brennen Chappell pitched one inning, giving up no runs on not hits with one strikeout.
Offensively,
Logan West was 2-for-3 and
Colby Carter was 1-for-3 with a double and one RBI, along with two walks.
Jantzen Anderson had a triple as well.
CSI will now take on the loser of Salt Lake CC and USUE Friday at 3:30 p.m. PT (4:30 p.m. MT) in a loser-out game.
