HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team lost to Southern Nevada 2-1 and 7-6 Friday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles outhit the Coyotes in game one but couldn't plate the needed runs. 
Shay Benson earned the loss but gave up just one earned run on four hits with six strikeouts in his 5.1 innings of work. 
Brennen Chappell finished the final .2 innings, giving up no runs on no hits with one strikeout.
At the plate, 
Brody Duvall was 2-for-4, 
Jack Barker was 1-for-2 and 
Colby Carter was 1-for-1.
In game two, CSI took the 6-5 lead on a two-run homer by Carter. But CSN tied it in the bottom half of the inning and took the lead for good on a solo home run in the eighth.
Malcolm Bartholomew took the loss, pitching the final 3.2 innings and giving up two earned runs on three hits with seven strikeouts.
Eliot Jones was 2-for-2 at the plate, 
Tyler Vance was 2-for-4 and Carter was 2-for-5. Barker had a triple.
CSI, 21-16 and 6-9 overall, hosts Salt Lake CC next Friday and Saturday.
