TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The seventh-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team run ruled Colorado Northwestern 12-2 and 8-0 Friday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Leading the way in game one for the Golden Eagles was
Tessa Hokanson and
Courtney Christiansen. Hokanson finished the game 4-for-4 with two home runs, a triple and a double along with four RBI. Christiansen was 2-for-2 with a home run, walk and two RBI.
Reagan Rex was 2-for-3 and
Markessa Jensen was 2-for-2.
Abby Hayes earned the win, pitching five innings and giving up two runs on seven hits with three strikeouts.
Eva Stoddard shut down the Spartans in game two, pitching six innings and giving up no runs on five hits with eight strikeouts.
Jensen had the hot bat in the second game, going 4-for-4 with two home runs, a double and six RBI. Hokanson hit another home run and Rex was 2-for-3 again.
CSI, 39-11 overall and 27-5 in conference play, hosts Colorado Northwestern again Saturday at noon for a doubleheader. Sophomores will be honored between games.
