RANGELY, Colo. - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team beat Colorado Northwestern 4-2 before falling 4-0 in game two of Scenic West Athletic Conference Friday.
In game one,
Colby Carter was 2-for-3 with an RBI and
Jack Barker was 1-for-3 with a double an RBI.
Jack Ryan finished 1-for-2 with a walk.
Brennen Chappell earned the win on the mound, pitching the final three innings and giving up no runs on one hit with two strikeouts.
Kaden Cloward pitched the first four innings, giving up one earned run on three hits with four strikeouts.
The Golden Eagles couldn't get any timely hits in game two.
Logan West was 2-for-4 and Barker and
Kaden Schuck were 1-for-1.Â
Ashton Johnson took the loss, pitching 5.2 innings and giving up three earned runs on 10 hits with eight strikeouts.
CSI, 27-22 overall and 10-15 in conference play, hosts USU Eastern next Thursday and Friday to wrap up the regular season.
