TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The seventh-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team run ruled Treasure Valley CC 9-1 before clawing back from five down to win game two 10-9.
The Golden Eagles were firing on all cylinders in game one, hitting four home runs and giving up just two hits on defense.
Tessa Hokanson was 3-for-4 with a home run, double and three RBI.
Courtney Christiansen was 2-for-2 with two home runs and two RBI,
Reagan Rex was 2-for-3 and
Brylee Bigelow was 1-2 with a double and one RBI.
Abbie Banning also hit a home run for the Golden Eagles.
In the circle,
Abby Hayes got the win, giving up one earned run on two hits with eight strikeouts.
Game two was all Treasure Valley until the seventh inning. CSI trailed 8-3 going into the bottom of the seventh.
Reagan Rex led off the inning and got on with an errant throw before
Tessa Hokanson hit a two-run home run to pull the Golden Eagles within three runs.
Kenzee Hale singled,
Brylee Bigelow singled and Jensen hit an rbi double. Christiansen tied it up with a two-rbi double, setting up the walk-off win in the eighth.
After TVCC plated the runner placed on second in the International Tie-Breaker, CSI came up to bat in the bottom of the eighth down one.Â
Rex started on second and Hokanson hit a double to score Rex. She advanced to third on the throw home. Hale walked and stole second before Bigelow hit the walk-off single to win the game.
Hokanson finished the game 4-for-5 with three home runs, a double and five RBI. Bigelow was 4-for-4 with two RBI, Jensen was 2-for-4 with a double and Hale was 1-for-3 with two walks.
Jensen earned the win, pitching the final 3.1 innings and giving up two earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts.
CSI, 37-11, hosts Colorado Northwestern Friday and Saturday.
