TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team beat Utah State University Club 14-4 and 12-2 Tuesday in a non-conference mid-week matchup.
The Golden Eagles pounded out 17 hits in game one.
Brody Duvall,
Logan West and
Gavin Schoonover were all 3-for-4 at the plate. Duvall and West each had three RBI.
Jack Barker was 3-for-3 with three RBI.
With no pitcher throwing more than one inning in either game, several CSI pitchers had solid outings.
Shay Benson,
Andrew White and
Kaden Cloward each gave up no runs on no hits.
In game two, CSI finished with nine hits but also had 10 walks.
Logan West was 1-for-2 and
Kaden Schuck was 2-for-3.
Cooper Sloan was 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI and
Junior Garcia has a two-RBI double.
Ashton Johnson earned the win, throwing one innings and giving up no runs on one hit with two strikeouts.
Mark Henderson gave up no runs on one hit with three strikeouts in his inning.
CSI, 24-21 overall, has a bye weekend before traveling to USU Eastern the following Friday and Saturday.
