TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 17th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team lost game one to 12th-ranked Salt Lake 2-1 before run ruling the Bruins 18-5 in game two Saturday.
The Golden Eagles were tied in game one going into the seventh inning before giving up the go-ahead game winner. CSI had two on with no outs in the bottom half of the seventh but couldn't bring across a run.
Tessa Hokanson was 1-for-3 with a home run and one RBI.
Hailey Louder was 1-for-1 and
Haylee Farnsworth was 1-for-1.
Abby Hayes earned the loss, going seven innings and giving up two runs on nine hits with three strikeouts.
In game two, the Golden Eagles finished with 11 hits and 10 walks.
Hokanson was 1-for-1 with three walks.
Kenzee Hale was 4-for-4 with four RBI.
Markessa Jensen was 2-for-4 with a home run and six RBI. Louder was 1-for-2 with an RBI and Farnsworth was 1-for-2 with an RBI.Â
CSI, 14-6 overall and 5-1 in conference play, hosts Salt Lake again Sunday for a doubleheader at noon.
