CSI Softball takes game four in extra innings over Salt Lake

TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 17th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team bounced back from a 18-10 loss in game one to take game two 5-4 in extra innings over 12th-ranked Salt Lake CC.
With one out in the bottom of the ninth, Kenzee Hale walked and stole second and advanced to third on an errant throw. Enter Markessa Jensen at the plate with two down. The sophomore drove a ball up the middle to score Hale and secure the win for the Golden Eagles.
It was the first run CSI scored in game two that wasn't a solo home run. Jensen, Tessa Hokanson, Abbie Banning and Haylee Farnsworth all hit solo shots off Utah commit Shelby Jones in the game.
Eva Stoddard earned her second win of the weekend against the Bruins, going all nine innings and giving up just two earned runs on eight hits with one strikeout.
Both teams swung the bat in game one. Courtney Christiansen was 3-for-4 with three home runs and five RBI. Jensen was 2-4 with two RBI, Brylee Bigelow was 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI and Hale was 2-for-2 with two walks, a double and two RBI. Hailey Louder was 1-for-2.
