TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team beat USU Eastern 9-4 before falling 13-9 in the final game Saturday of the Scenic West Athletic Conference four-game series.
Eliot Jones provided the offensive spark for the Golden Eagles in game one, going 3-for-4 with a double, home run and two RBI.
Junior Garcia was 2-for-4 with a home run and
Brody Duvall hit a home run.
Shay Benson got the win, going 3.1 innings and giving up two earned runs on three hits with seven strikeouts.
There were four lead changes in game two before USUE scored two in te sixth and three in the eighth to pull away.
Duvall and Jones were each 2-for-4.
Jack Barker was 2-for-3 and
Tyler Vance was 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and two RBI.
Brock Snow earned the loss, going 4.1 innings and giving up eight runs on eight hits with five strikeouts.
Kaden Cloward pitched a solid two innings, giving up one run on one hit with four strikeouts.
CSI, 21-14 overall and 6-7 in conference play, travels to Southern Nevada next week.
