Box Score 2 PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho struggled to get its bats going Friday, falling to USU Eastern 5-0 and 5-4 in a Scenic West Athletic Conference doubleheader.
The Golden Eagles finished game one with three hits.
Logan West had two, including a double and
Cooper Sloan was 1-for-2.
Ashton Johnson earned the loss, going 5.1 innings and giving up five earned runs on 10 hits with five strikeouts.
Cooper Littledike pitching the final .2 innings, giving up no runs or hits.
In game two,
Jack Barker was 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI,
Colby Carter was 1-for-3 and
Eliot Jones was 1-for-3.
Garrett Miller got the loss, pitching five innings and giving up five runs with seven strikeouts.
Brennen Chappell pitched the final inning, giving up no runs with three strikeouts.
CSI will take on USU Eastern again Saturday for a doubleheader.
