TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 14th-ranked College of Southern Idaho beat USU Eastern 11-3 and 5-3 Friday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles used a big fourth inning in game one to take command of the game and eventually got the run rule in the fifth.
Tasha Hokanson was 2-for-2 with a home run and four RBI.
Tessa Hokanson was 2-for-3 with an RBI,
Abbie Banning was 2-for-3 with an RBI and
Taya Manzanares was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Markessa Jensen had a triple and two RBI.Â
Abby Hayes earned the win, going five innings and giving up three runs on five hits.
The score was tied going into the bottom of the fifth when Banning hit a solo home run to put CSI up to stay.
Tessa Hokanson followed with a double and
Brylee Bigelow singled to set up a Jensen  two-RBI double to give the Golden Eagles the 5-2 lead.
Hokanson finished 2-for-3 and Banning was 2-for-3.
Taya Manzanares was 1-for-2 with a double.
CSI, 25-9 overall and 15-3 in conference play, hosts USUE for another doubleheader Saturday at noon.
