RANGELY, Colo. - The 14th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball team relied on its pitching and key hitting Friday to beat Colorado Northwestern 6-1 and 9-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Tessa Hokanson had the hot bat all day, finishing 7-8 at the plate with two doubles and one home run along with four RBI. Teammate
Brylee Bigelow was hot in game one, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.Â
In game two
Tasha Hokanson was 1-for-2 with a double and RBI.
Abby Hayes won game one in the circle, going seven innings and giving up one runs on two hits with five strikeouts.
Eva Stoddard pitched a one-hitter in game two, giving up no runs with six strikeouts.
CSI, 21-9 overall and 11-3 in conference play, takes on the Spartans again Saturday in a doubleheader at noon.
