ONTARIO, Ore. - Behind solid pitching performances from the Golden Eagles, the 14th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team beat Treasure Valley 7-0 before falling 3-0 in game two Tuesday.
CSI jumped on the board in game one when
Hailey Louder deposited a three-run homer over the left-field wall.
Taya Manzanares was 2-for-2 at the plate and
Markessa Jensen was 2-for-4.
Brylee Bigelow,
Haylee Farnsworth,
Reagan Rex and
Brielle Milius each had a hit in the win.
Abby Hayes earned the win, pitching six innings and giving up no runs on three hits with five strikeouts.
The Golden Eagle pitching stayed solid in game two but the offense couldn't get anything going.
Markessa Jensen earned the loss, going three innings and giving up two earned runs on two hits with four strikeouts.
Eva Stoddard pitched the final three innings, giving up no runs with no hits and five strikeouts.Â
Kenzee Hale,
Brylee Bigelow and Jensen all went 1-for-3 at the plate.
CSI, 19-9 overall, travels to Colorado Northwestern Friday and Saturday.
