CSI Women's Basketball fights back and wins in overtime

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Trailing by six points with 2:27 left to go in the game, the College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team found a way to fight back and force overtime, eventually beating Southern Nevada 66-62 Friday to advance to the Region 18 Championship.
Down six, Makeili Ika drained a 3-pointer to pull the Golden Eagles within three with 1:50 remaining in the game. A steal by Kayla Porray and a bucket by Jamisyn Heaton with 41 seconds on the clock pulled CSI within one. Another stop by the Golden Eagles and a free throw by Kaylee Headrick with 26 seconds to go tied it up, where it stayed, until the regulation buzzer.
CSN jumped out to a 62-58 lead in overtime but that would be all the Coyotes would score as CSI scored eight straight points for the win.
Heaton finished the game with 16 points and nine rebounds. Jayden McNeal added 16 points and five rebounds. Headrick posted 11 points and five rebounds and Ika had 11 points and three assists. Porray had a team high four steals along with six points and three assists.
CSI will take on USU Eastern Saturday at 3 p.m. with a berth in the NJCAA National Tournament on the line.
