TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 15th-ranked College of Southern Idaho relied on its pitching to get past Snow College 4-2 and 5-3 Friday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles strung a few hits together to get the wins but weren't sharp offensively.
In game one,
Tessa Hokanson was 2-for-3 with a double, home run and two RBI.
Courtney Christiansen was 2-for-3, 2B; and
Haylee Farnsworth was 1-for-1 with a double.
Abby Hayes got the win in the circle, pitching all seven innings, giving up two runs on six hits with three strikeouts.
Christiansen stayed hot, getting a two-RBI home run in game two.
Reagan Rex was 3-for-3 and
Brylee Bigelow was 1-for-3 with an RBI and
Markessa Jensen was 1-for-3 with a double.
Eva Stoddard earned the win, going seven innings and giving up two earned runs on six hits with one strikeout.
CSI, 17-7 overall, hosts Snow again Saturday.
