HENDERSON, Nev. - The 18th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team scored 11 runs late to beat Southern Nevada 12-3 in game one Friday and were leading the Coyotes in game two 9-7 when the game was suspended due to darkness.
The game will resume at 11 a.m. PT Saturday. It is in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Golden Eagles scored five runs in the fifth and six in the seventh to pull away from CSN in game one.
CSI was led at the plate by
Tessa Hokanson, who was 3-for-4 with a double, triple and RBI.
Brylee Bigelow was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI and
Courtney Christiansen was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.
Abbie Banning was 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBI as well.
In the circle,
Abby Hayes earned the win, going 6.1 innings and giving up three runs with seven strikeouts.
Markessa Jensen closed out the final .2 innings, giving up no runs on no hits with one strikeout.
