TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team fell to Southern Nevada 6-3 Friday before game two was suspended in the first inning of the Scenic West Athletic Conference matchup.
The doubleheader was delayed and then suspended when the second thunderstorm hit.
In game one, the Golden Eagles couldn't get anything going offensively until the fourth inning when
Jack Ryan hit a three-run homer to pull within two. But that would be all CSI would get. For the game, the Golden Eagles had 14 strikeouts.
Eliot Jones was 2-for-4 and Chris Carter was 2-for-3.
Tyler Vance was 1-for-2.
Ashton Johnson earned the loss, going 2.2 innings and giving up four earned runs on five hits with one strikeout.
Brennen Chappell pitched 1.1 innings, giving up no runs on no hits with one strikeout and
Kaden Cloward pitched the final three innings, giving up no earned runs on two hits with four strikeouts.
The Golden Eagles started game two and gave up no runs in the top of the first. CSI will resume that game Saturday at 11 a.m. with a runner on first.
