TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 16th-ranked College of Southern Idaho overcame a first-half deficit to beat Southern Nevada 75-63 Thursday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles trailed 33-30 at the half but went on a 23-15 run in the third to take a lead they wouldn't relinquish.
Keying the win was the inside play of
Taylor Johnson. The post finished with 11 points, 17 rebounds and five blocks.
Jamisyn Heaton added 13 points, four rebounds and three steals. Other scoring in double figures included
Kaylee Headrick with 10 points and
Kennedy Gillette with 12 points. Headrick had a double-double with 12 rebounds along with three assists. Guard
Makeili Ika finished with eight points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals.
CSI, 22-4 overall and 5-1 in league play, travels to Salt Lake and Snow next week.
