TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team had solid pitching and hitting Friday, beating Yakima Valley 10-3 and 8-2 in non-conference action.
In game one,
Colby Carter led the offense, going 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI.
Logan West was 2-for-4 with a double,
Junior Garcia was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI and
Jack Ryan was 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Jack Barker was 2-for-3 with two doubles.
Ashton Johnson went the distance on the mound, giving up one earned run on four hits with six strikeouts.
In game two much of the offense came from Brexton Starley. The freshman was 3-for-3 with two doubles, a home run and three RBI.
Dax Newman and
Logan West each had a double.
Garrett Miller earned the win, going seven innings and giving up two runs on six hits with eight strikeouts.
Malcolm Bartholomew pitched the final two innings, giving up no runs on one hit with three strikeouts.
CSI, 12-6 overall, hosts Yakima Valley against Saturday for a doubleheader at noon.
