TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team improved to 8-6 Friday with two identical 5-0 wins over Treasure Valley CC in non-conference play.
In game one,
Eliot Jones was 2-for-3 with a double and
Junior Garcia finished 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Brody Duvall was 1-for-2 with one RBI. On the mound,
Ashton Johnson earned the win, going six innings and giving up no runs on four hits with nine strikeouts.
Dax Newman pitched the final inning, giving up no hits with one strikeout.
Offensively in game two,
Jack Barker was 1-for-2 with one RBI,
Colby Carter was 2-for-4 with a double,
Jack Ryan was 1-for-2 with one RBI and
Dax Newman was 1-for-3 with a double.
Nolan Miller earned the win, pitching six innings and giving up no runs on four hits with six strikeouts.
Ethan Gardner pitched two innings, giving up no hits with two strikeouts and
Kaden Cloward pitched one inning, giving up one hit with two strikeouts.
CSI hosts Treasure Valley again Saturday for a doubleheader at noon.
