TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 15th-ranked CSI Men's Basketball Team overcame a halftime deficit to knock off Cochise College in their first game of the season away from home.
Cochise came out of the gates firing from beyond the arc as they shot 54% from three while the Golden Eagles shot 21%. CSI trailed 40-32 at the break, but a dominant offensive second half propelled the Golden Eagles to the 83-79 victory. Southern Idaho poured in seven second half threes, and was able to push their largest lead of the night to 12 before hanging on for the four point victory.
Tanner Hayhurst knocked down seven three pointers himself en route to a 22 point night.
Isaac Hawkins had himself another double-double night with 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Walker Timme also finished in double figures with 15 points, and
Amarco Doyle provided scoring off the bench as he had 19 of the Golden Eagles 27 bench points. The win moves CSI to 10-2 on the year, and they know set their sights on Arizona Western tomorrow night in a true road game. Â
