YUMA, Ariz. - The fourth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball couldn't hold off a hot-shooting Arizona Western squad Sunday, losing 67-58.
The Matadors shot 48 percent from the field, 50 percent from long range and 79 percent from the free throw line, while the Golden Eagles managed just 38 percent from the field, 20 percent from the 3-point line and 58 percent from the free-throw line.
Kennedy Gillette led CSI with 13 points and eight rebounds.
Macie Brown had 11 points, six rebounds and two assists and
Mariah Mons added 11 points and three assists.
Ashley Garner posted six rebounds and four points at the post position.Â
The Golden Eagles, 10-2 overall, take Monday off before finishing the tournament against Central Arizona Tuesday and Southwestern (California) Wednesday.
