TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 12th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team fell to 23rd-ranked Eastern Florida 77-75 Friday in the Battle for the Boot Tournament.
The Golden Eagles committed 18 turnovers and were called for 23 fouls, never getting into a rhythm with the tenacious Eastern Florida defense.
CSI tied the game with 7 seconds to go but were whistled for a foul on the in-bounds play. Eastern Florida knocked down two free throws for the lead and the Golden Eagles couldn't get a shot off before the buzzer sounded.
Khayri Dunn led CSI with 20 points.
Isaac Hawkins added 18 pts, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots.
Tanner Hayhurst was solid with 10 points, 11 rebounds and five assists.
The Golden Eagles, 3-1 overall, will take on Monroe College Saturday at 7 p.m.
The other games will be North Idaho vs. Western Wyoming at 2 p.m. and South Plains vs. Eastern Florida in the championship at 5 p.m.
