TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 12th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team dominated from start to finish behind a long ball barrage, beating Monroe College 96-75 Saturday to take third in the Battle for the Boot sponsored by Title One and Rocky Mountain Agronomics.
The Golden Eagles knocked down 17 3-point field goals, shooting almost 50 percent from the 3-point line. Leading the way was
Tanner Hayhurst, who was 7-for-10 for 21 points. Cooper Kessler added three.
Also scoring in double figures was Amrco Doyle with 14 points and eight rebounds,
Isaac Hawkins with 16 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks,
Gerry Guerrero with 10 pts, four rebounds and four assists and
Nathan Ahner with 11 points.
The Golden Eagles finished third in the tournament with South Plains taking home the championship and Eastern Florida second.

Isaac Hawkins was named to the All-Tournament Team along with Monroe's Eric Mejia, North Idaho's Vaughn Weems, South Plain's Arterio Morris and Eastern Florida's Fredy-Salam Sylla. Most Valuable Player went to Issac Taveras from South Plains.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action next week when they host the Physicians Immediate Care/North Canyon Medical Invitational Friday and Saturday.
