TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The Southern Idaho Women's soccer club didn't get off to the start they were looking for in their final week of the regular season as they fell to USU-Eastern 2-1 Thursday afternoon.
Both teams played to a stalemate for much of the first half until USU-E was able to break through with their first goal in the 32nd minute, followed by their second goal right before the half in the 44th minute. Southern Idaho responded in the second half as they were able to create some offense and registered eight shots as opposed to only two in the first half. The Golden Eagles finally found the back of the net in the 84th minute on a ball off the foot of
Alyssa Harris. Harris led the way with three shots on the day, while
Jenimar Briceno added two shots. The Golden Eagles will finish off their inaugural season this Saturday, as they square off with 5th-ranked Snow College.Â
