Box Score 2 SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team lost to Scottsdale 2-1 before coming through with a big 20-9 victory in game two of its doubleheader Wednesday.
Offensively, the Golden Eagles posted 13 hits in the win.
Eliot Jones led the way at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a double and four RBI.
Kaden Schuck was 2-for-5 with five RBI and
Jack Ryan was 2-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored.
Jack Barker was 1-for-1 with a triple and four runs scored.
Garrett Miller pitched three innings, giving up two earned runs on three hits with six strikeouts to earn the win.
Dax Newman pitched 2.2 innings, giving up four earned runs with three strikeouts.
In the first game,
Eliot Jones finished 2-for-3 with a double. He was the only CSI player with more than one hit.
On the mound,
Ashton Johnson pitched the final five innings, giving up no earned runs on two hits with five strikeouts.Â
CSI, 4-2 overall, plays Scottsdale for another doubleheader Thursday.Â
