HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team improved to 6-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play with a 89-81 win over College of Southern Nevada Saturday.
The Coyotes cut it to 82-79 with just over a minute to play but the Golden Eagles made 5-of-8 free throws and a late layup to secure the win.Â
Three CSI players scored in double figures led by
Asim Jones 28. He added three assists, four rebounds and three steals.
Sam Phipps had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds and
Jaylon Johnson added 16 points, five assists and three steals.
Cassius Carmichael and
Shahid Muhammad were also tough inside. Carmichael posted eight rebounds and two blocks and Muhammad had four blocks and seven rebounds.
CSI, 17-5 overall, travels to North Idaho Saturday.
