PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team came away with 4-1 and 7-5 losses Saturday against USU Eastern in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles couldn't string together any hits in the first game, having only one CSI player with more than one hit.
Dax Newman was 2-for-3 with a double.
Brody Duvall,
Cole Rollins,
Colby Carter and
Logan West all finished with one hit. West had the lone CSI RBI.
Candon Dahle earned the loss, going four innings and giving up four earned runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts.
Kaden Cloward pitched the final two innings, giving up no runs on no hits with two strikeouts.
The Golden Eagles got their bats going in game two, outhitting the Eagles from Price, 13-12.Â
Eliot Jones was on fire in the leadoff, going 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and four RBI.
Greyson Shafer finished with an RBI double.
Junior Garcia was 2-for-2,
Nate Rose was 3-for-4, Rollins was 2-for-4 and West was 2-for-5.Â
Ashton Johnson earned the no decision, pitching the first four innings and giving up two earned runs on four hits with four strikeouts. Brenne Chappell got the loss, going 2.2 innings and giving up two earned runs on seven hits with five strikeouts.

CSI, 21-11 overall and 5-11 in conference play, host USUE Monday and Tuesday at home for doubleheaders.
