PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team lost to USU Eastern 3-2 before bouncing back for the 7-4 win in game two Friday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Golden Eagle starter
Josh Trentadue only gave up three runs (two earned) on four hits with eight strikeouts but the CSI hitters couldn't string anything together to get the win.
Cole Rollins was a bright spot, going 2-for-2 with a triple and RBI.
Nate Rose was 1-for-2 and
Junior Garcia was 1-for-3.
Trentadue earned the lost, going 6.1 innings.Â
The Golden Eagles got some timely hits in game two.
Brody Duvall was 2-for-6 with a double and RBI,
Eliot Jones was 1-2 with two RBI,
Colby Carter finished with two RBI and
Logan West was 1-for-3.
On the mound,
Stone Cushing got the win, going seven innings and giving up no earned runs on three hits with six strikeouts. Bartholomew threw one inning in middle relief, giving up no runs on two hits.
CSI will take on USUE again Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m. before coming home and hosting USUE Monday and Tuesday.
